Evan Rachel Wood was born September 7,
1987 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III (a actor in the
theatre writer, director, and actor) is her father. Sara Wood Wood is her
mother and an actress. She is the daughter of Dana Wood, a musician and Ira
David Wood III, an actor. Evan and her brothers have frequently appeared at
Theatre In The Park in Raleigh. Her father was the founder of the theater and
serves as its director of operations. At the age of five, she was screened
against Kirsten Dunst for the lead part in Interview with the Vampire: The
Vampire Chronicles (1994) following a lengthy audition process. Together with
her mother and brother Ira the family moved to Los Angeles in 1996. Since the

Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III. Younger sister of Ira David Wood IV and Dana
