Alison Doody
Alison Doody was born in Dublin in Ireland on November 11, in 1966. She is a model as well an Irish actress. Following her small debut performance as an archaeologist Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film, 1985) She went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Approached by a photographer Doody began to model and subsequently an industry-related career in modelling. Doody was averse to glamour and nude work. The year 1987 was the time Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she portrayed IRA Member Siobhan Donovan. Doody was Archibald Craven's wife Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. Her first lead role was in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow with John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She also appeared as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most recognizable part to date was that of Austrian Nazi sympathiser and archaeologist Doctor Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has worked with three James Bond actors. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British miniseries Selling Hitler, which was inspired by the publication fraud called The Hitler Diaries. She later moved to Hollywood. She starred as Flannery as Flannery in Major League II, opposite Charlie Sheen. Doody made her acting comeback in 2003 with a minor performance on the British comedy The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. Doody's roles include a TV movie version of King Solomon's Mines in 2004, a booklet about the Holocaust, and an animated short called Benjamin's Struggle in 2005. Doody played a small role in Danny Dyer's film The Rapture (2010). Doody appeared on RTE's Medical drama The Clinic. The project was later shelved. Pam Jefferson, the character she played in E4's comedy Beaver Falls during its first season, which ran for two years. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way.
